Policy and Guidelines
Students MUST present a legible University picture ID to gain entrance to an exam for which they have registered online.
In very few emergency cases, a one-time use of a valid driver’s license or military ID may be used (at the discretion of the manager on duty). In this case, the student must submit his or her eight-digit University Identification Number (UIN). If the student does not have either of these items, he or she will not be authorized to gain entrance to the exam. See http://www.odu.edu/cardcenter for information on obtaining and using your ODU Identification Card.
Except for religious or medical reasons, wearing hats and other headgear is not allowed in the Lab.
All electronic devices (e.g., cell phone, beeper, PDA, etc.) must be turned off, placed in your backpack, or stored in the space provided by staff. Failure to follow this policy will result in the student's dismissal from the lab.
The university honor code is in effect at all times.
Please also familiarize yourself with the “Code of Student Conduct” which can be found on pp. 28-30 of the Student Handbook.
Food, drink, and gum are not allowed in the lab. You are requested to leave these items outside the entrance to the lab.
Students are expected to respect all equipment in the lab, including workstations, computers, and multimedia viewing machines and head sets.
Failure to follow the guidelines listed above will have one or more of the following consequences:
- Immediate dismissal from the lab.
- Loss of privileges.
- Submission of a disciplinary report to your faculty member and/or the University Disciplinary Committee.
