How to find Blackboard:

You can access Blackboard 6.1 in a variety of ways:

• University Home Page > Current Students > Blackboard
• University Portal > Blackboard module
• https://www.blackboard.odu.edu

How to login:

User name = your email/network name (ex: Jane Doe = jdoe001)
Password = your MIDAS password (also used for student email and University Portal)
If you request a new MIDAS account or password, please allow up to 24 hours before reporting login problems.

To activate your MIDAS account, you must have your Leo Online UserID and PIN.

How to find your course:

After logging into Blackboard, find your course(s) in "My Courses" or on the "Courses" tab. If you think you should see a course that is not listed, contact Technical Support.

Technical Recommendations for Blackboard:

Operating System/Platform: Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, or ME; MacOS9, or MacOSX
Hardware: 64 MB ram, 1 G of free diskspace
Software: Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader (note: other software may be required for any particular class needs, see class syllabus or instructor for details about other software needs)
Browser: Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape 4.78 (or greater) with JavaScript and Cookies ENABLED
Modem: 56K minimum

A computer compatibility test is available to assist you in determining whether or not you have an adequate system as well as frequently used plug-ins and media players.
